Working ahead of schedule on the wood. It was too tempting to see how pretty it would look with the ugly white stenciled leaves sanded off and the wood restored.
I used a combination of alcohol, stripper, and sanding to clean up the cabinet doors, and surrounds.
I stained with two coats of chesnut colored stain, then followed with tung oil for a nice not too shiny finish.
The results so far are very nice. A soft glow from the highly grained elm.
