Polishing tips! Much needed tips from a man that has done 12 or more Airstreams.
At our bi-annual get together in Hiawassee, GA, SPRINGSTREAM we were shown the methods and madness of polishing the trailer, from a rough untouched finish to mirror shiny.
Our own Excella though once super bright has dulled from natural oxidation over the two yrs we have had it, and needed a touch up.
I had been using way too much and possible way to coarse a polish. What I learned was to use a sparing amount, and the least coarse that would work. Started with angled rotary polisher, It can be then done by hand, or using the famous Cyclo polisher for the final stage.
This seems to do the trick, and once the weather here and time allows me to get at it again, I hope to restore the Airstream's shine to it's former glory.
